From Frustration to Innovation: The Birth of Our Financial Simulator
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about learning—about finance, strategy, and the intricate workings of our world. But I grew frustrated with traditional learning methods.Books are valuable but aren’t the most efficient tools for mastering complex subjects. Language alone can’t provide the hands-on experience required for proper understanding**.I believe software has the power to transform learning by allowing us to immerse ourselves in experiences. We learn by doing, by making projects, and by experiencing the consequences of our decisions in real-time.In my personal experience, I tried learning to code numerous times, only to fail repeatedly because I lacked a clear goal. But now, everything has changed.With a newfound clarity and purpose, I set out to create the most sophisticated, complex, and engaging financial simulator in the world. This game is the first step towards revolutionizing financial education.
Why Games?
"Aren't video games addictive?" Yes, they can be. But is that inherently bad?I'm addicted to this project—I'm obsessed with creating something meaningful (and enjoying every moment of it).Most video games can consume players without offering much value beyond entertainment. That's the problem! Video games have immense potential when used correctly and with the right intentions.I still remember how games like Age of Empires captivated me as a child, sparking my interest in history. AOE became a catalyst for my lifelong love of historical study.Similarly, my favorite genre—strategy games—has taught me countless lessons and ignited my curiosity across various topics.However, most strategy games don't go far enough. They often shy away from complexity to avoid scaring players, missing out on engaging a dedicated audience that craves depth.

Introducing:
Finance Interactive
In Finance Interactive, you take the CEO role of an insurance company. This position allows you to collect money from insurance policies to invest and grow your financial empire.
Create
insurance policies to collect money, which you can use to buy stocks, bonds or inject capital to your companies. Be careful! If you try to grow too fast, you may become insolvent and lose the game.
Trade
government bonds and stocks (more financial instruments to come). There are 100s of companies ready to be acquired at any time. You can take control and change the way they are run. Alternatively, you can invest passively and trust the companies will do well.
Analyze
the companies you want to invest in. Start by scanning companies with our complete Stock Screener or looking at the Financial News. Before deciding whether to buy, it can be a good idea to look at their financial statements.
Influence
your companies by changing their CEO. Each CEO has a unique set of characteristics. They influence how much to borrow, whether to make acquisitions, and which of the 6000+ projects will be available to invest. Choose wisely!
Manage
your companies by transferring subsidiaries around, contributing capital, or paying yourself a hefty dividend. You can also decide which projects to invest in or divest into. Alternatively, you can let the companies do the work for you.
Stay
solvent by maintaining adequate capital reserves. Remember, you are a serious insurer, and the authorities will keep an eye on you. The more money you collect from policyholders, the more of your capital you will need to keep in case things go sour. Remember, the financial markets are a wild place!
Shape
the future of the game. This game is work in progress, and the game will be evolving quickly. Expect crashes and bugs in the short term (and please let me know!). Also, take a look at our Roadmap and feel free to suggest features you don't see there that you will like to have. Please note that the final decision to include or not a feature will be mine, but I truly appreciate any of your recommendations.

Is It Really Free?
Yes, 100% during the development phase. Once the game is ready to be released, early testers will get a special discount over the final price.
Who Is This For?

People willing to try a game in development (i.e., being OK with crashes and weird things happening here and there).
Is It Windows Only?
No. In addition to Windows, the game is available on MacOS (intel and silicon versions). If you want a Linux version, let me know (I'd have to test it first, though).
Is There a Roadmap For The Game?
Yes, check it here. It may be a good idea to check it regularly since new features may be added.
How Long Will Be The Game In Development?
As long as necessary. I plan to include at least all features in the roadmap (see previous question).
I Found a Bug/ My Game Crashed. What Do I Do?
Check the "Submit a bug" button inside the game and follow the instructions there.
Can I Recommend a New Feature?
Yes (but check first the Roadmap). If the feature doesn't appear there, you can use the "Submit a bug" button inside the game and follow the instructions there.
